“The power outages caused the communication network in Donggala, one of the districts in Central Sulawesi and the surrounding areas to be unable to operate because PLN’s electricity supply was broken. There are 276 base stations that cannot be used. Communication operators continue to try to recover electricity supply on an emergency basis.
“The Ministry of Communication and Information has taken steps to recover the broken communication,” he reported.

As a result of this earthquake and tsunami, SIS Al Jufri Mutiara Airport in Palu Central Sulawesi was closed.
“Herewith is informed that according to Notam Number H0737 / 18 Sis Al Jufri Pearl Airport Palu was closed from 28 September 2018 at 19.26 WITA until the estimated September 29 2018 at 19:20 WITA due to the impact of the Earthquake,” Sutopo said via his Twitter account on Friday.
